After Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is King it’s now Saif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal sardar avatar that’s under the scanner of Sikh community. The Sikh community had raised objections to Saif’s look in the film. Apparently it’s the beard that Saif is sporting in the film, which is trimmed and is objectionable according to some people in the community.

Therefore, there will be a special screening of the film for the Punjab Cultural Association members by the director and producers of the film. After the screening, the community will decide and come to a conclusion on the objectionable aspect in a couple of days. According to Charan Singh Sapra, Member of Legislative Council, Government of Maharashtra and of the Punjab Cultural Association, the issue is stagnated and no decision has been taken on whether Saif’s look in the film is offensive or not. Well, we wonder without watching the film how can one raise objection in the first place.

In the recent past films that had similar fate are Singh Is King, Billu. Billu the title was originally Billu Barber, however it was changed prior to the release of the film and there was a special screening for the hairdressers.
